My car won’t start. It just makes a fast clicking sound
Fast clicking is a sign of a poor battery connection or faulty battery. Check your terminals and have your battery checked.

My car won’t start. It gives one click then nothing.
This could be your starter motor failing or voltage drop in the starting circuit.

When I switch my lights from low to high beam they drop out.
This would point to the contacts in your combination switch.

I drove my car last night and this morning it won’t start.
Possible battery drain fault e.g. lights left on/ doors not closed/or even boot light staying on. If all this is ok then there probably a charging fault or could be your battery has died.

I put my electric windows down and now it won’t go up. I can hear a motor in the door working.
In the door well of your car there is a mechanism called a regulator, this in combination with a motor makes the window operate. If you can hear the window motor trying to work then it is possible the regulator has failed.

My blinkers blink very quickly
This usually means there is a current load issue in the blinker circuit, Check your globes they could be blown or broken.

My car’s air conditioning is not as cold as it used to be.
The system could be low on gas which means your system needs to be checked thoroughly for a leak.

I have a battery light staying on on the dash even after I have replaced the battery.
This is pointing to an alternator/charging issue and needs to be checked ASAP or your car will fail to start.

I have a new car which is still under warranty will I void my warranty by getting it serviced at Highway Auto Rockhampton?
No, getting your car serviced with Highway Auto will not void your new car warranty. Highway Auto is an approved service facility, we stamp your log book and your warranty is safe.

How long will it take to get my car serviced?
Generally your service will only take half a day, we encourage our clients to drop off their car first thing in the morning. We will call or direct message you if we have any issues or questions and let you know when your car is ready to be picked up.

Do you provide courtesy transport for customers?
Yes we will drive you to your workplace or any reasonable destination.

Do you quote on all jobs?
We are happy to quote you on all jobs but some faults need to be accurately diagnosed before we know exactly what is required to repair. In this case we contact you by phone or direct messaging (your choice) with our findings and a cost to repair, you are always in control of what you spend.
