Caravan, Camper, 4WD Dual Battery from HAE Rockhampton

A dual battery system is two separate batteries working in conjunction with each other with different purposes ensuring your vehicle will always start.

A dual battery simply describes a battery system with a second or auxiliary battery that has been installed in addition to the vehicle’s original factory-fitted battery.

Do you require a dual-battery system for your car, truck, or 4x4? Our skilled auto electricians expertly install dual battery systems, such as the widely used 'REDARC Dual Battery System', with attention to detail. Highway Auto Electrics' expert auto electrical services, built on over 60 years of industry experience, ensure your vehicle is serviced quickly and effectively, restoring it to optimal condition.

Our services include the supply and installation of dual battery systems; we offer the well-known "Redarc" system. The REDARC BCDC1225 or BCDC1240, a 12-volt 25-amp/40-amp DC-to-DC charger designed for vehicles, charges your auxiliary battery while you're on the move or uses portable solar panels when stationary. A multi-stage DC-DC charging system is used by the system to charge your auxiliary battery to its peak capacity.

A battery bank ranging from 75Ah to 200Ah is appropriate for the BCDC1225. For systems exceeding 200AH, REDARC suggests the BCDC1240. The system will supply a charging pattern designed for the specific battery chemistry, and it's capable of fully charging and maintaining the best charge for various lead-acid batteries.

The BCDC dual battery charger will work from a wide operating range (9 – 32V) giving the option of charging from both 12V and 24V vehicle systems.

The BCDC DC-DC charger also features a Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) solar regulator, allowing you to deliver the maximum amount of power from your solar panels to your auxiliary battery.

Featuring several layers of error prevention. If the voltage drops too much, the smart charger, which also serves as a dual battery isolator, will safeguard the starting battery.
